Oh Fall, so aesthetic, such a slay,
You make me want to wear a sweater all day.
The wind blows hard and makes my eyes cry,
The aesthetic makes me crave a pumpkin cream chai.
The leaves switch it up, turning red, yellow, and brown,
They sound like crunch, crunch, crunch, all around the town.
Beach season has ended and Old Saybrook’s at peace,
But that doesn’t mean that the fun will decrease.
It’s time to whip up some comfort food in the kitchen,
Take advantage of everything Martha Stewart has written.
The sun sets early and leaves us in the dark,
But Martha won’t let seasonal depression leave its mark.
Classwork starts to get serious, school puts up a fight,
‘Tis the season we have to do homework all night.
But we won’t let that take away Fall’s natural glow,
Even if it means our quarter one grades are low.
Fall comes in wonderfully,
Calorically, climatically, and colorfully.
Fall is the season of color and cozy,
Fall is hype and deserves a trophy.
