Spring break is approaching fast here at OSHS! The flowers are blooming, the weather is warming up, and most importantly, the snow is FINALLY melting! Just like the daily worries of students and teachers alike when they realize spring break is just around the corner. The students of OSHS are doing all sorts of different things this break, some involving travel outside of CT, and even outside of North America. Some of these students include Maya and Sam. “I’ll be playing tennis, going to Poland to give my Grandma a big hug, and also eat a swiderka.” (Maya K) and “I’m going to New York to see my mom and we might go to the ice cream museum as well.” (Sam A)
However some students are planning on doing the polar opposite of traveling. They will be staying more local and getting the rest they deserve, like these two, “I’m not doing much really, I’ll probably just play [the video game] Grounded the whole time.”
(Lucus/Lexi S) as well as “I’m probably going to read books and help parents at their store” (Isabella L) On the other side of things, the teachers and staff of OSHS seem to be staying just a bit more local. But, this doesn’t mean they don’t have exciting plans of their own! Just take Mrs. Nassar, “I am teaching my kids how to ride their bikes and enjoying some time outside!” Mrs. Bringham, “I’m working with a former student for a couple of days a week and doing my taxes; I might try to take a trip to Boston to see my cousin though.” And Mrs. Sousa’s word for it! “I’m seeing some friends and traveling to see my daughter.” Overall, the students and teachers alike at OSHS seem to be more than ready to get out there and enjoy the weather, see their families, and get some rest-deserved rest!
